Aero India 2023 Takes Off, PM's Shout-Out To Made-In-India Tejas: 10 Facts







Aero India 2023 is a biennial international air show and aviation exhibition being held in Bengaluru, India.


The event showcases the latest developments in aerospace technology, including aircraft, engines, avionics, and other related equipment.


The 2023 edition of the event was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who gave a shout-out to the indigenous Tejas fighter jet.


The Tejas is a light combat aircraft developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).


The Tejas have been inducted into the Indian Air Force and are being manufactured under the Make in India initiative.



The event features participation from several international companies and organizations, including Boeing, Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Safran.

The event includes static and aerial displays of military and civilian aircraft, as well as business


The theme for Aero India 2023 is "Innovation for Sustainable Aviation".


The event is being held at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru from February 13 to 17, 2023.


Aero India is one of the largest air shows in Asia and is expected to attract over 600 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors from around the world.
